Barlow’s boys getting the latest backing in the X Factor betting

Gary Barlow is the only judge still with three acts left in the X Factor and his chances of mentoring this year’s winner have certainly vastly improved in the past week.

Literally from the commencing of the live shows Kelly Rowland has been the heavy favourite to mentor the winning act and was odds-on for a long period.

However, with Sophie Habibis now out and Misha B potentially struggling to appeal to the voting public after finding herself in the bottom two last week, Kelly’s chances are on the drift.

Meanwhile, there is also speculation that X Factor betting favourite Janet Devlin is falling out of favour with the public after a host of reasonably repetitive performances.

But she remains at the head of winners’ market at 5/2, while it is 5/4 that any of the girls triumph in the X Factor.

The Risk were the other leading favourites early on, but their performances have weakened in recent weeks, while the fact they were forced to replace a band member may have also cost them some support.

Tulisa’s other group is Little Mix, but it is well documented how poorly girl groups tend to fare on the show and arguably Little Mix have done exceedingly well to survive this long.

A brighter note is that they have been backed into 10/1 to win the X Factor having produced the best performance on the latest live show.

However, the big support has been for two of Barlow’s boys – Scouse duo Craig Colton and Marcus Collins.

Craig is now 9/2 and been backed for success by many of the other acts, with Marcus 5/1 after a string of consistent performances.

Barlow also has Frankie Cocozza in the competition and he continues to attract enough votes to survive, despite being the heavy favourite to be eliminated in the past two weeks.

There is certainly the belief that Frankie is gaining the votes of the anti X Factor contingent.

This gives Barlow a strong hand and he looks overpriced at 2/1 to mentor the winning X Factor act.
