Bolton vs Everton: Moyes’ men can add to Trotters’ troubles
Things haven’t been going quite to plan for Owen Coyle and Bolton Wanderers so far this season.
After a summer in which they added plenty of quality and were able to hang on to Gary Cahill they were expected to take the positives from last year and build significantly on them.
However, after three wins and nine defeats in their opening 12 games they are mired in relegation trouble and have been cut to 15/8 to drop to the Championship.
They welcome Everton to the Reebok this Saturday and things don’t look like getting any easier…
Everton head into this game as the 11/8 favourites and look extremely tempting at that price.
The Toffees got an important win against Wolves last week and – despite playing a tough set of away fixtures that included trips to both Manchester sides and Chelsea – they are looking decent on the road.
They’ve beaten Fulham and Blackburn Rovers on their travels this term and have lost on just two of their previous six visits to the Reebok.
Meanwhile, Bolton have won their last two home games against the Toffees and can be backed at 15/8 to get another victory.
Bolton have the worst home defensive record in the Premier League, shipping 17 goals in their opening six league games at the Reebok.
With Everton failing to find the net just once on their travels this season – and that was against the frugal Man City – the Toffees can be confident of scoring.
There also hasn’t been a goalless draw in the previous 17 games between these sides, so backing over 2.5 goals looks well worth a punt at 5/6.
