Return for Amelia Lily beckons as Frankie’s X Factor replacement
The Risk may be the favourites to return to the X Factor as a replacement for the axed Frankie Cocozza, but the better bet may be that Amelia Lily is allowed to face the public vote for the first time.
The decision to kick Frankie off the show has opened up many options on how to move the show forward, with one being that the remaining six acts are simply left to fight it out for X Factor victory.
However, the general consensus is that Frankie will be replaced by another contestant to being the X Factor field back to seven acts.
The Risk were surprisingly eliminated in the most recent show and are the 5/4 favourite to be given a second chance to shine on the X Factor.
But there is certainly the argument that they have had their opportunity and the voters that liked the boyband have already had their chance to keep them in the competition.
This is not something that can be said of Amelia, who was eliminated by mentor Kelly Rowland at the end of the first live show following the twist that each judge had to send home one of their own acts.
Amelia had been one of the favourites in the X Factor betting to win the show up until this point and the decision may be made that she is allowed another shot at stardom.
It is 4/1 that Amelia replaces Frankie.
The one sticking point with either The Risk or Amelia returning would be that it is judge Gary Barlow that has been left one act short by Frankie’s departure.
Although Gary mentors the boys, it could be considered as a wildcard that he takes on an act meant for a different category.
Equally, James Michael could return as he was the boy axed by Gary in the first week and this may be the fairest outcome.
