Strictly Come Dancing: Chelsee shows it’s not just a two horse race

| 05.11.2011

Harry Judd and Jason Donovan may still be the favourites for the Strictly Come Dancing title, but Chelsee Healey is fast catching up with the boys.

Chelsee put in a brilliant high-octane performance on Saturday’s show and her Charleston was enough to see her top score, with all four judges awarding her a nine.

She has now come in to 3/1 to win the competition and is definitely one to consider backing – especially with Jason once again showing an inconsistent streak.

The former Neighbours star scored just 28 points for his less than thrilling rumba and has now drifted out to 9/4 following his second poor performance of the series.

Harry remains the favourite at 2/1 although not even the smitten Alesha Dixon could bring herself to give him another ten for his samba.

He still did enough to earn himself 33 points and finish second behind Chelsee though and it will take some big performances from another couple to see him beaten.

Meanwhile, Robbie Savage showed his tender side with a restrained waltz to Take That’s Love Ain’t Here Anymore and remains an outsider at 12/1 to win the competition.

If you like your odds a little longer though, One Show presenter Alex Jones is consistently improving and looks tempting at 33/1 to win the series.

She scored a very decent 31 points for her quickstep and looks better with every passing week.
