Military Wives can be backed to break records with Christmas No.1

| 19.12.2011

The Military Wives Choir are set to break records according to Ladbrokes.

The bookies are offering odds of just 7/2 that they shift more copies than Adele (Someone Like You) to become the best selling single of the year and 16/1 that they break the UK record set by Elton John (Candle in the Wind).

It’s also just 7/1 that they sell at least a million more copies than the single in second place after early reports indicate Little Mix are struggling to hit figures set by previous X Factor winners in recent years.

Alex Donohue of Ladbrokes said: “The question now is not will they win but by how far. Early figures suggest we’ll soon have to slash the odds about them breaking records.”
