Strictly Come Dancing: Jason Donovan shouldn’t be ruled out

| 15.12.2011

There can be no denying that this Saturday’s Strictly Come Dancing final is Harry Judd’s to lose.

The McFly drummer is the massive 3/10 favourite and it would take an absolutely huge performance from one of the other two finalists or a monumental failure from Harry to see him miss out on victory.

However, if you do fancy a long-odds punt on the final, then there are plenty of reasons to suggest Jason Donovan could be in with an outside shot.

Jason started the series as the big favourite before a few erratic performances saw him slip down the betting.

He has avoided any further slip-ups in recent weeks though and gave what many people consider to be the best dance of the series in last week’s show.

His Argentine Tango with partner Kristina Rihanoff wowed the judges and saw the pair gain a perfect score of 40 points.

With Strictly host Tess Daly stating that Jason is probably the most dedicated of the celebrities remaining and even asks Kristina to practice on Sunday’s – the only day they get off – he remains a strong contender.

Jason is determined to win it and – if you fancy taking on a risky bet this weekend – then backing Jason to win at a big 16/1 could lead to a very decent payout if there’s a shock result.

Meanwhile, Chelsee Healey continues to stalk Harry in the betting and the Waterloo Road star is currently 11/4 to claim the title.

She also received a perfect score last weekend and is worth careful consideration when deciding where to put your money.

Harry is undoubtedly the man to beat but, if you can see an upset on the cards, then there are some massive odds available to take advantage of.
