Weakened Tottenham should still be too strong for Shamrock Rovers

Tottenham are relying on results elsewhere to ensure progression in the Europa League, but they must also take care of business themselves in Dublin.

Harry Redknapp has used the competition to blood his youngsters, following Spurs’ run to the Champions League quarter-final last season, and now needs to win and hope that PAOK can beat Rubin Kazan in Greece.

Shamrock Rovers have failed to collect a single point in Group A, and lost 3-1 in the return fixture at White Hart Lane.

Spurs are 2/5 to win here, 1/3 to score first in the game, and a seemingly unmissable 1/1 to win both halves.

The home side are 5/1 to pull off a shock, with the draw priced at 16/5.

Bearing in mind that Shamrock have leaked 15 goals in just five Europa League matches, odds of 11/10 for Tottenham to score 2-3 goals look good, and it could be a risk offering 4/1 for the London outfit to hit 4 or more goals.

Rovers have only failed to score themselves in one game, and after hitting the net at White Hart Lane, they will fancy their chances of nicking a goal in front of a vociferous, tight-knit home crowd.

It is 5/6 for both teams to score in the game, whilst the Irish side are 6/4 to win given a goal head start on the handicap.
A second string Tottenham line-up, which could still feature the likes of Roman Pavlyuchenko, Giovani dos Santos and Danny Rose, are 6/5 to overcome a one goal handicap, and that looks appealing.

Harry Kane is also likely to feature for Spurs, and the striker is an interesting option to score the first goal at 4/1.

Score-line betting on the game could be a good way to turn a profit too, with long odds attributed to big scores.

The 18/1 for a 4-1 Spurs victory looks good, and the 33/1 for a 5-1 smash should also interest punters.
