Mouse 2/1 favourite to be next Premier League pitch invader

Published:

THE ANFIELD Cat could soon be joined by the Molineux Mouse or Sports Direct Arena Squirrel, according to Ladbrokes.

Following the most recent pitch invasion the book is now open on which animal will be the next to enter the field of play during a live televised match, with a mouse the hot 2/1 favourite.

It’s 4/1 that we see another feline, while squirrels (5/1) and hamsters (6/1) remain in the running.

Any reptile can be backed at 33/1 and it’s 50/1 and bigger the rest, including a monkey (66/1).

Ladbrokes also report a series of requests from punters who wanted odds on the cat to be involved in the build up to any goal. Punters also took to twitter to suggest that the bet-in-play odds of the cat scoring the next goal should also be shorter than those of Andy Carroll.

Alex Donohue of Ladbrokes said: “We’re betting the games of cat and mouse have only just begun in terms of pitch invaders. Fans watching the game were quick to tweet their views on who would have shorter odds to score next with most favouring the cat over Carroll.”
