Stoke v Swansea: Swans to take another point towards safety

| 25.02.2012

Swansea are yet to lose back-to-back Premier League games this season and they can maintain this record by claiming a draw at Stoke, which can be backed at 9/4.

The Swans have won their last four meetings with Stoke in all competitions, including a 2-0 triumph at the Liberty Stadium earlier in the campaign, but will have to bounce back from a defeat to Norwich in their latest fixture.

Stoke’s form has hardly improved since and of late they have managed just a single success in their last nine Premier League outings, a run which features five defeats.

Meanwhile, they are yet to take a point at home in the Premier League in 2012.

It is 13/5 that Swansea beat Stoke and Brendan Rodgers’ team have a strong record this season against their rivals currently occupying spots in the bottom half of the standings at present.

In their 11 games against teams in the bottom ten, Swansea have lost just one at Blackburn, while they have already collected away victories at Aston Villa and West Brom in 2012.

Stoke are arguably a big price at 11/10 to win at home, especially given they rested nine first-team players for their midweek Europa League defeat in Valencia.

Danny Graham will have particularly fond memories of the clash between this pair earlier in the campaign as he scored his first goal for Swansea and he has not looked back since.

Graham is 7/1 to score first against Stoke which would represent an 11th league goal of a somewhat prolific season.

For Stoke, Peter Crouch was one of those left out of the trip to Spain and is likely to be recalled. Crouch is 5/1 to break the deadlock.
