Championship accumulator: another win in store for Reading

Published:

Our midweek Championship accumulator comes it at 8/1 as we back Leicester and Cardiff to secure home wins while in-form Reading should see off Doncaster at the Keepmoat Stadium.

Reading are proving a safe bet of late and though Doncaster are showing signs of life, they won’t stop the Royals taking all three points.

Brian McDermott’s men have won eight successive league fixtures and have taken maximum points from each of their last five contests on their travels.

Since Donny’s promotion to the Championship in 2008, Reading are unbeaten in seven meetings with the Yorkshire club and have triumphed in each of three visits to the Keepmoat Stadium.

They’ll be made to work hard by a Doncaster side who have taken four points from the last six available, but Donny haven’t won at home in four. The visitors are 19/20 to extend their extraordinary run to nine games.

Elsewhere, though Leicester have lost their last two league games, the Foxes are unbeaten at home in five in all competitions, four of which they have won.

They welcome Birmingham to the King Power Stadium, who are without a win in four and could only muster a 1-1 draw at lowly Coventry on Saturday.

Nigel Pearson’s side are 13/10 to win and revive fading hopes of a late play-off charge.

Our final pick sees Cardiff take on Hull, as both sides attempt to secure their place in the end of season play-off lottery.

The Bluebirds’ 2-1 win at Brighton was their first in four league matches, a win that propelled them back to sixth.

The Tigers however have drawn their last five league fixtures, three of which have ended goalless.

Hull sit three points and three places below the Welsh side and it’s evens for the home side to secure back-to-back league wins for the first time this year.

Leicester to beat Birmingham @ 13/10
Cardiff to beat Hull @ evens
Reading to win at Doncaster @ 19/20
