Manchester the centre of attention as title goes on the line

| 26.04.2012

Man City head into the most important game of the season as 6/5 favourites to overcome their city neighbours and return to the summit of the Premier League.

The Citizens are still undefeated at home in the league and they will be determined to end the campaign with that record intact.

United are priced at 9/4 to score a win at the Etihad and all but wrap up their 20th league title on their rivals home patch.

The champions have only been beaten on two occasions by fellow top six clubs this season, one being the opposition here and the other high-flying Newcastle.

The hosts will be buoyed after scoring 12 goals in their last three games since a poor run that saw them go three without a win, punters feeling they can notch four again should opt for four or more strikes from Mancini’s men at 15/2.

Fergie’s charges have already tasted triumph on City turf, thanks to a 3-2 win in a dramatic FA Cup tie earlier in the season, and they will head across Manchester having only lost away from home twice in the league this season.

The Red Devils were crusing until they twice threw away a two goal lead to an impressive Everton side last week, and the Scot’s players will have to avoid a defeat against their wealthy challengers in order to remain at the top of the division.

The red half of the city are still the pick for the title, thanks to their three point advantage and an easier run-in and they are 4/9 to be champions again, but a loss would put the power in the hands of the blue half thanks to their superior goal difference.

City are 13/8 to lift a first Premier League trophy but those odds will be sliced should they follow up their 6-1 victory at Old Trafford earlier this term with another success.
