Juventus v Napoli: Coppa Italia final swan song for Del Piero

Published:

Juventus head to the Stadio Olimpico for the Coppa Italia final looking to complete an unbeaten domestic season by scoring their third league and cup double, and they are 4/6 to do so.

The Turin side scored a comfortable 3-0 victory over their opponents when they last met at the start of April, and it would be cruel were they to lose their unbeaten record in Alessandro Del Piero’s last game for the club.

They will have to do so without defender Giorgio Chiellini after he had to be substituted in the 3-1 win against Atalanta, which will give 11/10 shot Napoli a major boost.

Walter Mazzarri’s men will be looking for their first triumph in this competition since 1987, and they will look use Chiellini’s absence to their advantage and attack the Old Lady from the off.

The draw after 90 minutes is available at 9/4, and that might be worth considering as the two sides shared the spoils in a 3-3 draw when they clashed in Naples earlier in the campaign.

Juve have shared the goals amongst themselves this year but Alessandro Matri has been their lead marksman with 10 goals in his 23 starts in Serie A, and he looks good value at 5/1 to net first here.

Napoli have a wealth of attacking options at their disposal and their attacking trio can be lethal on their day.

Edinson Cavani is the man to usually profit from his team’s attacking brand of football and he is 11/2 to break the deadlock.

Del Piero is set to depart his boyhood club after this final and any romantic punters out there can get odds of 5/1 on the former Italian international netting the last goal.

The Juve legend may have only found the net three times all year but with him being tipped to start this one, there would no better way to say goodbye than with a dream hat-trick at 25/1.
