5:35 Royal Ascot: Hello Glory can gain his revenge for York

Published:

Electrelane may have finished miles ahead of Hello Glory when the pair clashed at York last month, but there are some good reasons to believe that the positions will be reversed in the Sandringham Handicap at Royal Ascot.

Ten lengths was the distance between the pair on the last occasion they met as both finished behind Laugh Out Loud.

However, Hello Glory was having her first start of the season in this race and also a first attempt at 1m, meaning that she is more than entitled to come on for the run.

Electrelane was already race sharp after a decent third in a Group Three contest at Newbury and has also been back on the racecourse since, winning the German 1000 Guineas.

As a result she will carry 13lb more than Hello Glory at Royal Ascot in comparison to York.

This is a weight pull that more than cancels out the distance between the pair from previously and so Hello Glory looks the far superior price at 7/1 to win the Sandringham Handicap.

Electrelene is also 7/1 but is having to give weight away all around because of her Group One penalty.

Irish raider Duntle is another to consider and is set to go off favourite at 9/2.

Duntle was mightily impressive when winning a Dundalk maiden by 18 lengths earlier in the season and ran creditably in a higher grade last time when failing to settle in the early stages.

She still has a bit to prove, but will be a leading threat if allowed to dictate and settling better.

Of those at big Royal Ascot odds, Falls Of Lora comes from the Godolphin team and has already won the UAE Oaks this year.

She disappointed last time out in the UAE Derby, but back against her own sex, she could make her presence felt.
