Boston Celtics @ Miami Heat: James can prove the difference again

Miami Heat face the Boston Celtics in game seven with the Eastern title still on the line.

The Heat are big 2/9 favourites to win the game but things between the sides have been incredibly close during the seven-game series.

It took an amazing effort from Heat star man LeBron James in the last match to force the final game, with the small forward bagging 45 points, 15 rebounds and five assists in his side’s 98-79 victory – stat lines that have only been achieved once previously in play-off history.

The series has swung both ways over the previous six encounters though with the Heat winning the first two, then losing three consecutively before James’ heroics in the final match-up.

The Celtics are currently 10/3 to get the win and boast one of the best defences in the conference but it will take more than a solid defence to see them get past the Heat in this final game – especially the way James is currently playing.

The 27-year-old hit shots from everywhere on the court in game six and racked up a hugely impressive 19 field goals – more than the rest of his team combined.

He also re-found his game from outside the restricted zone and, after shooting six-for-27 from outside the restricted area in games four and five, James was 15-for-22 in the last encounter that forced this final game.

With James in that kind of form it’s hard to see beyond another victory for the Heat who will face Oklahoma City Thunder in the NBA finals if they get past the Celtics.
