Spurs keen on a Brazilian double as Villas-Boas shapes his squad

New Spurs boss Andre Villas-Boas is wasting no time in bolstering his squad ahead of the new season.

The former Chelsea manager has already added the highly-rated Gylfi Sigurdsson as well as Manchester United youngster Ezekiel Fryers.

The Portuguese has now set his sights on bagging a bit of creative flair and looks set to go all-out to net himself the Brazilian duo of Leandro Damiao and Oscar.

The London club have already seen two offers for Damiao rejected but it looks as if the 22-year-old striker may well be on his way to England after transfer activity at his current club Internacional.

The Brazilian side have captured the signing of former Manchester United forward Diego Forlan in what looks like an attempt to secure a replacement for their star man before he makes his move to the English capital.

It is thought that a final offer of around £14 million will be enough to finally tie-up the deal for the youngster who has averaged nearly a goal every other game for his current side.

The second player on AVB’s radar is the 20-year-old playmaker Oscar.

The versatile midfielder is seen as one of Brazil’s greatest prospects and his ability to play anywhere across the midfield or in an attacking role has seen him likened to both Rivaldo and Ronaldinho.

Already with 11 international caps to his name and a hat-trick in the Under-20 World Cup Final it is easy to see why there is so much attraction from Europe, and Spurs will have to see off competition from across the continent to get their man.

A £10 million offer has been lodged for Damiao’s team mate but it is thought that it will take somewhere in the region of double that fee for the South Americans to part with the player.
