What next for Bolt? 1/5 he lines up in Rio for Olympics

USAIN BOLT’S options look wide open, according to the latest odds from Ladbrokes.

Despite his blistering performance to silence the doubters at the London games, the bookies offer odds as big as 1/5 that he even participates in the same events at Rio in 2016.

It’s 10/1 he turns his hand to any other event (except the 4x100m relay) but he remains the even-money favourite in both the 100m & 200m, which surely serves as a stark reminder of his talent in that sphere.

Such is his popularity in his home country, he’s also quoted at just 25/1 to ever be voted as the Prime Minister. Odds of 100/1 suggest he has his work cut out should he wish to pursue a career in professional football.

Alex Donohue of Ladbrokes said: “We’re not convinced Bolt will line up at Rio. The fact that he still remains the hot favourite with his participation in doubt indicates just how superior he really is.”

He added: “Bolt backers are reinvesting their winnings in many ways. Should he ever get into politics or football he could hit us just as hard as he did on the track.”
