Kohli looks best option to top run chart at T20 World Cup

Kohli is 12/1 to lead the scoring charts in Sri Lanka and has done little wrong with the bat in his latest preparation games.
The 23-year-old has registered scores of 68, 70 and 75 in three of his last four innings and a continuation of this form will see him pile on the runs in the T20 World Cup.
With India also playing potential tournament whipping boys Afghanistan first, there is every chance that Kohli will immediately be among the runs here.
Meanwhile, he was second only to Chris Gayle in terms of runs throughout the 2011 Indian Premier League season.
The only negative in Kohli’s favour is that he is unlikely to open the batting for India, preventing him from maximum time at the crease.
Therefore, punters will be counting on either free-swinger Virender Sehwag or the slightly more conservative Gautem Gambhir to be dismissed quickly to bring Kohli to the crease.

But he is worth opposing at the prices given that the West Indies are less certain than other nations to reach the semi finals.
Ideally, punters want to be finding a player from a team with the best chance of reaching the final, to offer the best opportunity of participating in the maximum of seven games.
Hashim Amla is one such player for South Africa and he is 10/1 to top the run charts in Sri Lanka.
