Draw-loving Everton can add to their tally at West Ham

Published:

Having drawn eight of their last 11 Premier League fixtures since the start of October, tipping Everton to share the spoils again when they visit West Ham next is not the most difficult of suggestions.

Considering Everton have not won any of their last six away days, it is somewhat surprising that they are favourites to leave Upton Park with three points at 7/5.

The absence of Marouane Fellaini, who serves the first of a three-game ban, will not help their cause either, as they have only triumphed in one of the six games the Belgian has missed thus far this season.

West Ham are fairly solid at home and have only been beaten on their own patch by Arsenal and Liverpool in the league.

They also have a midfield problem with Mohamed Diame injured and it can certainly be argued that both sides are without their most influential central figures.

It is 15/8 that West Ham beat Everton for the first time in nine top-flight attempts.

The draw can be backed at 23/10, which stands out in the match betting options and its prospects are further enhanced by the fact that this has been the outcome in the last three Premier League meetings between the pair.

There could be some additional value in the correct scoreline market as even with Fellaini out, it is tough to visualise this finishing 0-0.

Everton haven’t kept a clean sheet in 12 Premier League games, but have been on target at least once in each of the last 14.

The favourite in the correct scoreline offerings is the 6/1 for a 1-1 draw, which looks a fair shout, but there could be some mileage in the 12/1 for the 2-2.

Alternatively, it is 3/1 that the game ends as a score draw.
