Everton v Tottenham: Toffees to hold in-form Spurs

Published:

Tottenham Hotspur head to Merseyside as the 13/5 outsiders to get all three points – and with good reason.

Despite winning their previous four games in all competitions, Andre Villas-Boas has inherited a side who’ve found winning at Goodison hard in recent seasons.

They haven’t picked up a victory in any of their last five visits there and face a side who, despite not winning much recently, have also been extremely hard to beat.

David Moyes’ men have lost just twice in the league all season and just once in their last 12 – a 2-1 reverse at Reading back in mid-November.

However, seven of their last nine have finished level and another share of the spoils can be backed at 21/10 this time out and looks the most tempting of all the match outcome bets available.

Spurs have kept just one clean sheet in their seven away games this season and have star man Gareth Bale missing after he pulled his hamstring in their 3-0 victory over Fulham last weekend.

Without Bale flying down the flank, Everton have one massive problem sorted for them and, with the north London side failing to score in three of their last five games at Goodison, another tight game is to be expected.

If you’re interested in having a punt on a scorecast, then you could do a lot worse than lumping on the game to finish 1-1 at 13/2 – all of Everton’s previous three games have finished with both sides finding the net once.
