Man Utd can lead at interval and full time at Swansea

| 22.12.2012

Many punters may feel that Manchester United may slip up on the banana skin that is a trip to Swansea, but an early goal can be expected to ensure that Manchester United secure another three points before enjoying their Xmas dinner.

The Red Devils were one of only four teams to win at the Liberty last season and 8/13 looks reasonable value for the team with easily the best away record in the Premier League thus far.

Man Utd have taken maximum points from seven of their nine fixtures on the road and a point of note is how regularly they have been finding the target.

They have netted three or more in six of their last away games and Swansea let in four in their home clash with Norwich.

Therefore, Sir Alex Ferguson will fancy more goals in Wales and the key will be a bright start.

In the last 16 league games in which they have been ahead at half-time, Man Utd have gone on to win 15 of them.

Meanwhile, they do look at much risk of conceding before the break, given that the Swans have scored a first-half goal in just one of their last seven at the Liberty.

This suggests that 11/10 is a worthy price on Manchester United being ahead at both half time and full time.

Another reason to side with Manchester United is that Swansea had lost five of their eight fixtures this season with teams starting this weekend in the top half of the Premier League standings.

Given how deadly the visitors have been in front of goal and the fact that they kept just one clean sheet in 10 Premier League games, over 2.5 goals is hard to oppose here, even at a relatively short price of 8/15.
