European football acca: Roma, PSG and Real Madrid to triumph
With the top European football leagues back to business after the winter break, we have selected a threefold bet worth odds of 7.0 for Sunday’s continental action
Roma are tipped top beat Inter Milan, PSG to overcome Bordeaux and Real Madrid to win at Valencia.
Roma to beat Inter @ 10/11
Roma have gone off the boil slightly in the Serie A since returning from the winter break, losing both their away league fixtures.
But a home game will give Zdeněk Zeman’s side a better chance for respite, having won their last five games at the Stadio Olimpico.
It could be an impressive double for Roma after they beat Inter Milan 3-1 at the San Siro earlier in the season.
Inter have lost their spark on the road too, falling to defeat on their last five away days. This game should see goals for both sides, but the Romans are the better bet to take the three points.
PSG to beat Bordeaux @ evens
Paris Saint-Germain have a great opportunity to snatch top spot in Ligue 1 from title rivals Lyon when they travel to fourth place Bordeaux.
Carlo Ancelotti’s cash-rich outfit have gelled as a team since the 0-0 draw between these two sides in September, and have won five of their last six matches in all competitions.
PSG haven’t won at Bordeaux since the 2005/06 season, but the side is fighting fit and will not want to miss their chance to go top of the table.
Bordeaux are the only side to remain unbeaten at home in the division, but if anyone can beat them then it is Zlatan Ibrahimovic and his Parisian side.
Real Madrid to beat Valencia @ 5/6
Real Madrid travel to Valencia, and will be buoyant mood ahead of the game after defeating Los Che mid-week in the cup and having seen Barcelona suffer their first league defeat of the season.
Valencia are in good form with nine wins in their last 12 games, but have a dreadful head-to-head record against Real, without a win against their illustrious opponents in eight.
Madrid are unbeaten in four since returning from the winter break, although Jose Mourinho will be wary of improving their away record in 2013.
Los Merengues haven’t lost at home yet this term, but four defeats on the road may have scuppered their chances of La Liga triumph. But win at Valencia and Madrid could keep their domestic flame burning.
