King Of Stats: All of the numbers ahead of the FA Cup fifth round

| 16.02.2013

It is time for another FA Cup weekend, with Chelsea playing Brentford in a fourth-round replay and the remainder of the fixtures coming from the fifth round.

The King of Stats hopes to make the weekend even more enjoyable with a few profitable predictions.

0 – Neither Luton or Millwall have won a game since qualifying for the fifth round, a combined seven fixtures. Meanwhile, they have scored just two between them in this stretch. Therefore, a draw stands out here at 12/5, while there may be some mileage in the 0-0 at 8/1.

2 – Oldham have scored at least twice in all four of their FA Cup outings so far this term, while Everton have only managed two clean sheets in their last 24 games in all competitions. Oldham are 4/1 to score over 1.5 goals against Everton.

2 – Nine years ago this weekend, Jose Antonio Reyes enjoyed his first appearance in the FA Cup with both goals in Arsenal’s 2-1 win over Chelsea. Arouna Kone could make his debut in the competition for Wigan and he is 25/1 to score a hat-trick against Huddersfield.

4 – Huddersfield have opened the scoring in each of their last four fixtures in the FA Cup, dating back to a defeat at Arsenal in January 2011. It is 27/20 that they do so again when hosting Wigan.

6 – The MK Dons have already played six games in this season’s FA Cup and on each occasion, they have scored the same number of goals in the first half and second period. It is 7/5 that this happens again when Barnsley visit the stadium:mk.

7 – All of Leeds’ last seven fixtures and 10 of their last 11 have seen more goals scored in the second half than the first. 21/20 is the price that more goals arrive in the second half compared to the first when they travel to Manchester City.

9 – Jordan Rhodes has been on target in nine of his last 11 appearances in all competitions for Blackburn, with goals in eight separate games. He is 5/2 to score at any time in the 90 minutes against Arsenal at the Emirates.

34 – Not only are Arsenal unbeaten in 34 home fixtures in the FA Cup, they are also unbeaten in an identical number against opposition from a lower division. They are available at 2/7 to beat Championship club Blackburn.
