Three 100/1 Masters shots could offer each-way value at Augusta

| 10.04.2013

With Ladbrokes offering money back on outright bets on The Masters should a British or Irish player taste victory, perhaps it will be worth casting your net a little wider in search of good each-way options.

Amongst eight 100/1 shots are players ranging from experienced Augusta performers to talented rookies, with these three in particular offering reasons for optimism:

KJ Choi

The South Korean finished third on his second appearance at Augusta in 2004, and has three career top 10 finishes here including two in the last three years.

An eight-time PGA Tour winner, Choi tied for fifth at the Tournament of Champions in 2012 and shared the first round lead before finishing ninth at the Farmers Insurance Open in January.

The 42-year-old once spent 40 weeks in the world’s top 10, and will look to recapture that form at a course he has frequently enjoyed.

Robert Garrigus

American Garrigus was unlucky not to score a second PGA Tour victory of his career in 2012, finishing as runner-up in four tournaments.

Although he failed to make the cut in his first Masters tournament last year the 35-year-old Arizona resident made a name for himself when finishing third in the 2011 US Open, and as he currently sits fourth on tour in driving distance he’ll be hoping to hit his way to a similar result at Augusta National.

Russell Henley

The five consecutive birdies on the back nine that took Henley to his first PGA Tour win at the Sony Open in Hawaii in January will live long in the memory.

His 24-under-par 256 broke the course record by four shots and was the second-lowest 72-hole score in PGA Tour history.

That sterling display made the Georgia-born 23-year-old the first Tour rookie to win on his debut in 12 years, earning him entry to Augusta in the process, where he may just fancy his chances.
