Ash and Joseph appear safest bets to reach The Voice live shows

| 01.05.2013

The battle rounds are now complete on The Voice with each of the four judges left with six of their initial acts, alongside their one steal.

Up next is the knockout round, where the judges all put one of their contestants directly into the live shows and then split their remaining six acts into two groups, putting one from each group through.

This will see 12 contestants in total qualify for the live shows and we are going to do our utmost to correctly identify who these performers will be.

Unfortunately from a punting point of view, the betting looks about right and the only real underdog in The Voice betting that realistically has a chance of making the lives is Adam Barron at 100/1, who was stolen in the battle rounds from Jessie J.

Team Jessie

Ash Morgan looks the shoo-in to reach the lives and is the most likely to get the automatic final place, while it is hard not to see steal Matt Henry progressing.

Jessie has heavily praised Danny County before and he could take the third spot, but one of the three females in the group may be given the place, which looks most likely to be Sarah Cassidy.

Team Will

A case could be made that the three females (Leah McFall, Leanne Jarvis and Cleo Higgins) could all advance, with the only real threat from the guys being Moni Tivony.

With Cleo not standing out in the battle rounds, she is unlikely to take the automatic place and so this spot appears to be between the other two women.

Leah at 9/1 remains a decent price in the winner of The Voice betting.

Team Danny

As a team, Danny’s looks the strongest, with Karl Michael seeming his best hope of victory and the automatic place.

A strong bond looks to have been formed between Danny and Conor Scott and so he would be fancied to go through, with either of Abi Sampa and Andrea Begley to fill the final place, with preference for the former.

Abi could well prove the best bet for victory at this stage of those outside the immediate favourites at 20/1.

Team Tom

Having made Tom Jones cry in the battle rounds, it is nigh on impossible that Joseph Apostol will not make the live shows, while Mike Ward’s country tones should see him through also.

Big outsider Adam has a chance for the third spot, but Tom will probably put one of his Welsh contingent through, with Alys Williams favoured.

Safest bets to get through (prices to win show in brackets)

Ash Morgan (6/1)
Karl Michael (6/1)
Matt Henry (7/1)
Leah McFall (9/1)
Conor Scott (9/1)
Joseph Apostol (12/1)
