Daring punter scoops big payday with Premier League trixie

| 13.11.2013

Not many people would have anticipated Sunderland beating Manchester City 1-0 at the Stadium of Light for the fourth time in succession, but this result has helped one punter scoop over £20,000.

The Ladbrokes customer from Kent placed a £20 trixie consisting of three doubles and a treble on three teams winning 1-0 in the latest round of Premier League games.

Alongside Sunderland, the customer plumped for fellow outsiders Newcastle at Tottenham and backed Manchester United to beat Arsenal.

For his successful tips of 10/1, 16/1 and 18/1, £21,360 in winnings was collected, showing that it doesn’t have to be a big outlay or a 15fold accumulator to scoop a life-changing prize.

The international fixture list means there is a small break before the next round of Premier League games, giving plenty of time to swot up on the next possible winning trixie.

Here at Ladbrokes News, we are always happy to help and below are three bets that combine for a £13,645 winning pot, from the same £20 outlay.

Newcastle to beat Norwich 1-0 @ 7/1

Like Sunderland experiencing a home streak against Man City, since Norwich’s promotion back to the Premier League, they have lost 1-0 on both visits to Newcastle.

Newcastle have won their last two without conceding as well, including that 1-0 at Tottenham.

Chelsea to beat West Ham 3-1 @ 12/1

Two of the last four between these London rivals has finished 3-1 to someone and West Ham lost to Norwich by this scoreline in their last fixture. Meanwhile, Chelsea’s sole away win of the campaign was 3-1.

Swansea to beat Fulham 3-0 at 20/1

Fulham have lost four on the bounce in all competitions, conceding 13 goals in the process.

The team playing away has won the last three clashes between this pair also, while two of these victories have been by a 3-0 scoreline.
