Trend points to Rosberg winning the Brazilian Grand Prix
Published:Since 2009 the driver who has finished second in Brazilian qualifying has gone on to win the race suggesting that Rosberg is starting in the ideal position going into the race.
Starting in second on the grid, Nico Rosberg represents great value to clinch the final race of the season at 8/1.
The German is in fine form and was nearly a second faster than teammate Lewis Hamilton in qualifying. He is currently enjoying his best season to date and will be keen to end the season with his third victory of the year.
Fernando Alonso starts one place down in third and is offered at a tempting 8/1. Although the Ferrari driver is secure in second position in the classification, he will be battling with Rosberg in the Mercedes for second place in the constructors’ standings.
The champion Sebastian Vettel once again finished in pole position but represents little value at 4/11.
Although he will be keen to add another victory as he asserts his dominance over his rivals, it is his teammate Mark Webber who looks the more appealing offer at 10/1. The Australian has been forced to play second fiddle to his teammate and rival but will be keen to do well in Brazil in what will be his final race before his retirement.
Webber will be fourth on the starting grid and already has the experience of winning in Brazil. Having won in 2009 and 2011, Webber stands a good chance of adding 2013 to his victories.
An interesting alternative market could be the podium finish where Romain Grosjean looks tempting at 2/1. The Frenchman has finished on the podium in four out of the last five races and can be expected to do the same in Sao Paulo.
