Brooklyn Nets and Houston Rockets picked to prevail in NBA double

Published:

There’s only two games on the NBA schedule tonight, with both being shown on BT Sport, but there’s no shortage of sub-plots.

Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce battle their former coach when the Brooklyn Nets face Doc Rivers’ LA Clippers, while the Houston Rockets and Portland Trail Blazers are the league’s two highest scoring teams.

We’ve combined our two fancies to win each game to deliver a 4/1 double, just to help ramp up the excitement in the early hours.

Brooklyn Nets to beat LA Clippers at 11/10

The last time the Nets crossed swords with the Clippers it was in the ninth game of the season and Jason Kidd’s men had lost five of their previous eight.

Without Deron Williams, Paul Pierce, Kevin Garnett and Brook Lopez, four of the franchise’s five All-Star starting lineup, Brooklyn fell to a 110-103 defeat.

Now, all of those players are back to full health, they’ve won two games on the spin and host a Clippers side who are in the middle of a gruelling seven-game road trip.

The visitors may have managed to win three of the five games on the excursion so far but, have lost their last five trips to see the Nets.

Houston Rockets to beat Portland Trail Blazers at 27/20

Portland will be looking to avenge the 116-101 defeat Houston handed to them in the fifth game of the season, however they are likely to add another loss to their vendetta after this one.

Their last clash was Portland’s heaviest reverse of the season to date, with Rockets stars James Harden and Dwight Howard tormenting the Trail Blazers with 62 points and 20 rebounds combined.

After battling injury and loss of form respectively, Harden and Howard returned to their dominant best in the Rockets’ two consecutive recent wins and should repeat the dose against Portland.
