LA Clippers to break Atlanta funk in NBA treble

Published:

An action packed night of NBA games sees 16 teams take to the court tonight and we’ve run the rule over the key matchups to bring you this solid treble.

Backing Los Angeles and Dallas on the road, with in-form Portland securing another home win offers return of £57.31 from a £10 stake.

LA Clippers to beat Atlanta Hawks @ 10/17

The Clippers (12-6) have failed to make a winning impression on the Hawks (9-10) in recent trips to Atlanta, winning just one of their last six matches in the Peach State.

However,  the Californian outfit look poised to improve that record, going into the game with a 5-1 record from their last five, while the hosts are 1-5 from their previous six.

With JJ Redick out and Kyle Korver potentially missing both sides will be shorn of their best perimeter shooters meaning greater emphasis will be placed on the action inside the paint, and with the Clippers’ 106.44 scoring average dwarfing the Hawks’ 98.74, expect a win for Doc Rivers’ men.

Portland Trail Blazers to beat Oklahoma City Thunder @ 20/27

Two of the NBA’s form sides clash at the Moda Center as the 13-3 Thunder take a 5-0 streak on the road against the 15-3 Trail Blazers.

Oklahoma have had plenty of joy from Portland in recent clashes, winning the last five and going 5-1 on the road, but current form suggests the end of that impressive run.

Terry Stotts’ side are 13-1 from their last 14 outings and are on a five-game win streak in front of their own fans, meaning they are perfectly placed to send the Thunder back home empty handed – for once.

Dallas Mavericks to beat New Orleans Pelicans @ 21/20

Dallas (11-8) are 2-4 from their last six and the Pelicans (9-8) are 6-2 from their last eight but that should put off those backing the Mavericks.

The Mavs are 6-2 from eight meetings with New Orleans and can expect a close match, with both sides boasting remarkably similar stats.

Dallas are averaging 103.68 in attack to New Orleans’ 102.12, while the points concession stats are 101.89 to 101.88 in favour of the hosts.

However, what tips the tie in the Mavs’ favour is that New Orleans are missing the influential Anthony Davis.

The Pelicans’ second-highest scorer is out for up to six weeks, leaving Dallas to take advantage and bring the Pelicans’ home run to an end.
