Willerton favourite to be last I’m A Celeb female standing
Published:Amy Willerton is the new favourite to be the last female contestant standing in this year’s I’m A Celebrity…GetMe Out Of Here! after confronting campmate Lucy Pargeter about leading a ‘campaign of hate’ against her.
The beauty queen has been the subject of plenty of criticism from her campmates after she brought banned make-up into the jungle and she has also been accused of not pulling her weight around the camp.
But, in a move that will endear the 21-year-old to the public, the former Miss Universe contestant revealed her emotions to Olympic athlete Rebecca Adlington and stood up to Pargeter.
“The other women snap at me constantly and you might not have noticed it but they whisper so much and are making me paranoid. I just think I haven’t done anything,” Willerton told Adlington.
“It’s only me they have an issue with, they all get on with each other.”
The British model then confronted Emmerdale actress Pargeter: “The way it was put to me yesterday was that you were leading a campaign of hate against me.”
Pargeter denied the accusations but Willerton, who believes she is being bullied because she is beautiful, is being backed by fellow contestants Alfonso Ribeiro, Vincent Simone and David Emanuel following the incident.
Willerton is 20/1 to be crowned as the winner of the show but with her love interest Joey Essex the big favourite, the smart money could be backing her to be the Queen of the Jungle.
And after Eastenders actress Laila Morse’s shock elimination, Willerton, who is now 8/11 with Ladbrokes, looks to be the best bet to be the last woman standing ahead of Addlington, 6/4, and Pargeter, who can be found at 7/1.
But it is in the elimination market where value could be found with Pargeter, who has vowed to “get” Willerton, 4/1 to be the next celebrity to exit the show.
And with the ITV bosses monitoring the situation amid fears of bullying, the British public could take action by getting the former Crossroads star out of there.
