Dallas Stars and New York Rangers dominate NHL fourfold

Published:

A night of contrasting fortunes could be on the cards in New York, with the Rangers backed for victory over the Blue Jackets while Dallas are favoured for the win when they visit the New York Islanders.

Tipped alongside outsiders the Florida Panthers and near-certainties the Colorado Avalanche, this four-fold accumulator pays odds of just over 10/1!

New York Rangers to beat Columbus Blue Jackets @ 20/31

The Blue Jackets may have left Madison Square Garden with a victory when these two last met, but it’s the Rangers that head into this game in better form, having won three of their last four fixtures in the NHL.

Columbus, in comparison, have picked up just a solitary victory from their last four attempts and with the New Yorkers winning two of the last three played between the pair, a home win looks on the cards.

Dallas Stars to beat New York Islanders @ 10/11

The Stars have endured something of a slump in recent weeks but that shouldn’t put you off backing them for victory over the Islanders with Dallas claiming wins in five of their last six matches against the hosts.

With the Islanders struggling for form in the division and fresh from a defeat to Carolina at the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum, the misery may continue here.

Florida Panthers to beat Montreal Canadiens @ 3/2

The Panthers finally came to life at the back end of 2013 with a resounding 4-1 victory over a Montreal side with post-season ambitions.

And the Florida side showed plenty of fight in their two subsequent fixtures – a shootout defeat to the New York Rangers and an overtime win against Nashville – which could make this an intriguing contest.

The Canadiens may begin as favourites but having lost three of their last four and with the Panthers on course for a third straight win over Montreal, stranger things have happened.

Colorado Avalanche to beat Calgary Flames @ 1/2

A tip that represents something approaching an open goal, the Flames head to the Pepsi Center off the back of four straight NHL losses with Colorado well positioned for victory.

The Avalanche have been in great form of late, winning three on the bounce ahead of this clash with Calgary. They have also got the better of the Flames in recent contests, winning their previous two meetings this season. Need I say any more?
