Jim Davidson getting huge backing as the CBB favourite

According to Ladbrokes there is only going to be one possible winner of Channel 5’s popular reality TV show Celebrity Big Brother, and that’s the elder statesman of the house, Jim Davidson.

The 60-year-old comedian has seen a swathe of financial backing with the bookies, where he’s now installed as the odds-on favourite to be crowned CBB winner at 4/5.

Despite being unpopular with housemates on the show, where he has received the most nominations, Davidson’s CBB bacon has been continually saved by the voting public – the crucial factor in his favouritism to win the show.

Jessica Bridge of Ladbrokes said: “The support for Jim is unprecedented considering he started the show as a 50/1 outsider. He’s clearly won over the public and they’re putting their money where their mouth is.”

Meanwhile, Davidson’s in-house nemesis Linda Nolan has gradually managed to ostracice herself from several younger housemates and is now the 8/11 favourite to be the next name out the CBB door as she faces the public vote for the first time.

Being close in age to 54-year-old Nolan, it could be said that Davidson has won their own personal generation game within the confines of the Big Brother house, where Made In Chelsea star Olly was the latest to jump on the anti-Linda bandwagon, after becoming embroiled in a row with her in Thursday night’s episode.”

Pretty boy Olly, who caused a storm by convening housemates to listen to a pre-planned address, remains popular with the public though, and 3/1 says he can be the last to exit the house.

Other housemates who could yet to cause an upset are NDubz rapper Dappy at 5/1 and Apprentice star Sam at 6/1, as all other housemates have odds of 25/1 or higher.

Former Blue singer Lee Ryan is a 5/4 shot behind Linda to face the CBB boot in the next eviction.
