Rotherham, Orient and Brentford backed in away day special

Published:

After enjoying success with a treble consisting of arguably League One’s three most in form sides, we’ve opted to follow up the triumph of that 3/1 tip with another trio of picks backing the big teams in the division for success.

The only difference being that this time the sides in question – Leyton Orient, Rotherham and Brentford – are playing away from home.

However this can only mean good news for you, with odds of just over 8/1 offered, which equates to a return of £94.40 off a bet of just £10.

Brentford to beat Walsall @ 13/10

It’s a brave man that goes against Brentford in League One these days, with the Bees in scintillating form under Mark Warburton. Last weekend’s 2-0 win over Port Vale helped secure a 3/1 League One acca and the London club are the cornerstone of this week’s selections once again.

That result made it eight wins in a row for the Griffin Park club and they look well placed to take all three points against a Walsall side that has picked up just two victories from their last five in the division.

The hosts haven’t beaten Brentford at the Bescot Stadium since early 2011 and with the Bees on at a tempting 13/10, that record could be extended here.

Leyton Orient to beat Crewe @ 10/11

Another form side who duly delivered the predicted win last weekend, Orient travel to Alexandra Stadium fresh from a classy 4-0 victory over Carlisle

Unbeaten in seven League One games away from home, the O’s scored a solid 2-0 triumph over Shrewsbury in their last game on the road and should have enough in their locker to overcome a Crewe side still reeling from last week’s 4-2 loss to Rotherham.

With just two victories from their last six competitive games the Alex could be in for a tough time here, having failed to win any of their last five meetings with Orient and the visitors should be backed at 10/11.

Rotherham to beat Shrewsbury @ 23/20

Steve Evans’ team remain in the promotion mix and will fancy their chances of a win away to an out-of-sorts Shrewsburyside after last weekend’s 4-2 victory over Crewe.

The Millers boast a formidable away record in League One which has seen them pick up 12 points from the last 15 available on the road in the division.

By contrast, the Shrews are in dire straits, with just one win from their last seven fixtures and defeats registered in four of their last five.
