Just who is Manchester City’s latest signing Bruno Zuculini?

The word is that Manchester City have jumped the gun on summer transfers by signing precocious Racing Club midfielder Bruno Zuculini.

According to the Argentine outfit’s President, Victor Blanco, Zuculini has already put pen to paper on a deal which sees him arrive at the Etihad in the summer for around £1.5m.

“We have several highly-coveted gems, such as Luciano Vietto, Rodrigo De Paul and Bruno Zuculini, who has already signed an agreement to leave in June to join Manchester City.”

This is a welcome boost for fans of the Citizens who witnessed a barren January transfer window before losing to Chelsea, who were able to flaunt their newest man Nemanja Matic to help engineer their downfall.

Despite that wobble, City are still priced up as the 6/5 favourites to beat Jose Mourinho’s side in their hotly-anticipated FA Cup fifth-round encounter, while 12/5 is given surrounding the draw or another Chelsea upset.

But just what can we expect from the young midfield man, who will try to help City bring more success next to the Etihad next season?

He’s an all-action centre-midfielder with an eye for a goal, having already racked up 10 for his boyhood club Racing in Argentina’s top flight, from 79 appearances.

Zuculini will definitely be a threat to the likes of fringe player Jack Rodwell in the central areas and has already represented his country eight times at U20 level – scoring twice.

As his president mentioned, Racing have been responsible for producing a raft of highly promising youth players.

Liverpool, 8/1 dark horses for the league title, are believed to be leading the chase for his teammate Luciano Vietto.
