Monaco and Napoli backed in midweek euro accumulator

| 12.02.2014

The cup action continues apace on the continent this week with ties taking place in the DFB Pokal, Coupe de France and Coppa Italia so we’ve plumped for a fourfold of picks from across the three competitions.

Backing wins for Wolfsburg, Napoli, Bayer Leverkusen and Monaco could certainly leave you in the money at odds of nearly 15/1 with Ladbrokes, which equates to return of £156.40 off a stake of £10!

Bayer Leverkusen to beat Kaiserslautern @ 2/5

An impressive 1-0 win away to rivals Borussia Monchengladbach saw Leverkusen maintain their grip on second spot in the Bundesliga, but Sami Hyypia’s best chance of claiming silverware remains the DFB Pokal.

Up against second-tier sleeping giants Kaiserslautern, who have lost three of their last five league games, expect the gulf in class to show at the BayArena, with Leverkusen aiming for a third straight win on the bounce.

Wolfsburg to beat Hoffenheim @ 17/10

Hoffenheim may not be facing the same relegation woes as last season, but remain defensively shaky having shipped an astonishing 43 goals in 20 league games– the third worst record in the division.

Wolfsburg, by contrast, are still pushing for Champions League qualification and will be brimming with confidence after a classy 3-0 win over a previously in-form Mainz.

The Wolves are unbeaten in three against the hosts and will have fond memories of their last visit to the Rhein-Neckar-Arena, a game which ended in a 3-1 victory for the visitors.

Monaco to beat Nice @ 4/5

Having seen fellow big-spenders PSG crash out in the last round, Monaco have a great chance to cap their return to the French top flight with a Coupe de France title.

And while on paper a trip to Nice – with the hosts in excellent form at the Allianz Riviera – appears daunting, Claudio Ranieri has already masterminded one success at the ground, with the Principality Club claiming a 3-0 victory on their previous visit last December.

Confidence will be high among the Monaco team also after a solid 1-1 draw with the Parisiens that kept them in the race for the Ligue 1 title and with the team now able to call on the services of Dimitar Berbatov, an away win looks a good punt here.

Napoli to beat Roma @ 13/10

Roma hold a slender advantage over Rafa Benitez’s team following Gervinho’s last-gasp winner at the Stadio Olimpico in their 3-2 first leg victory but it should be a different story for the return fixture in Naples.

Unbeaten in eight competitive games at the Stadio San Paolo, Napoli head into this encounter fresh from impressive home league wins over Lazio and more recently a resurgent AC Milan.

Roma, meanwhile, dropped two more points at the weekend and will have bad memories of their last visit to the region – with Napoli winning 4-1 in some style back in January of last year.
