Pacers to cover huge spread against hapless Orlando

Indiana are in such good form this season that the Pacers should be backed against all comers but with Orlando travelling to the Hoosier state with three wins in 22 outings Frank Vogel’s side are in for an easier ride than usual.
Similarly, the Knicks should make light work of a seven-point deficit away at the league-worst Bucks, while Detroit complete our just under 6/1 treble with a head start against the Heat.
The holders of the league’s best record, Indiana (36-10) have been off the boil – for them – of late, alternating between wins and losses since January 20th.
However, the Pacers will be supremely confident of a solid win over travelling Orlando (13-36), with the Magic going 3-19 over their last 22.
Frank Vogel’s side score three points more and concede 11 fewer than the Floridians on average and with two of the Magic’s last three losses coming by 15 or more points the spread is a tempting option.
That these losses came at the hands of Toronto and Detroit – who are nowhere near Indiana’s level – should only serve as encouragement to back the hosts to cover the spread here.
Miami (33-13) are hot on the Pacers’ tails in the Eastern Conference and almost guaranteed a win over Detroit (19-27).
However, Miami winning by 10 or more points looks unlikely, with the two-time reigning champions covering such a spread just once in their last four victories.
The Pistons are 2-4 from their last six after ending a four-game skid with back-to-back victories and with just one of those four losses coming by a margin of greater than 10 points the Michigan outfit will be confident of giving the Heat a decent game.
Backing an outright upset would be a waste of time, with Miami losing just four at the AmericanAirlines Arena this term, but with a 9.5-point head start Detroit can do the business.
New York (19-28), like the Pistons, have turned things around recently, going 4-1 from five after a 0-5 run, with the wins coming by impressive margins.
The Knicks’ last four wins have come by gaps of 31, 26, seven and 29 points and with Milwaukee (8-39) 1-15 from their last 16 outings another massacre could be on the cards at the Bradley Center.
The Bucks’ last eight losses have come by nine points or more, with the average loss margin over that period standing at 16.87.
The Knicks’ only defeat in the last five games came against the Heat, so expect the Madison Square Garden outfit to run riot over the hapless Bucks in Wisconsin.
