Shrimpers and Stanley are super picks in League Two treble

Published:

We’ve plumped for an adventurous trio of picks from League Two this Saturday with away wins predicted for Accrington Stanley and Southend as well as hosts Dagenham & Redbridge.

Backing this fantastic threesome could pay off though at odds of nearly 14/1, which equates to a return of £145.50 for anyone staking £10 with Ladbrokes.

Dagenham & Redbridge to beat Hartlepool @ 6/5

Last weekend’s 1-0 away win over an in-form Rochdale was just reward for a series of impressive displays that have earmarked the Daggers as play-off contenders.

Prior to that Wayne Burnett’s team displayed admirable resilience by coming from a goal down against Southend to salvage a draw and then, more impressively, recovering from being a 3-0 deficit at home to automatic promotion pushers Scunthorpe to claim a credible draw.

Three games unbeaten going into this one, the Daggers will fancy their chances of scoring a second consecutive victory in League Two against a Hartlepool team with one win from their last six.

Southend to beat Mansfield @ 13/10

Mansfield’s home form certainly makes for alarming reading, with the Stags on an 11-game winless run at the One Call Stadium going into this fixture.

By contrast, Southend have enjoyed success on the road, losing just two of their last 11 fixtures in the division as part of a run that has seen them move up to fifth in the League Two standings.

The Shrimpers eased to a 3-0 win when these sides met earlier in the season and a similar result could follow.

Accrington Stanley to beat Wycombe @ 15/8

There seems to be no end in sight to Wycombe’s woes, with the Chairboys picking up just two points from the last 21 available in a run that means they only sit above the relegation places on goal difference.

Accrington may only be three points better off but manager James Beattie has started to turn things around for Stanley, who have picked up a draw and two wins from their last three games.

Only Wycombe stand in the way of a third consecutive victory and with Accrington winning on their previous two trips to Adam Park, an away win looks likely.
