Hartlepool and York headline midweek League Two accumulator

There’s a full schedule of fixtures in the Football League this Tuesday and we’ve got a top fivefold featuring some of the best teams in League Two namely Rochdale, York and Hartlepool.

Backed alongside Burton and Fleetwood Town to score important midweek wins, these selections add up to a return of £176.60 for anyone placing a £10 bet with Ladbrokes.

Burton to beat Wycombe @ 4/5

Saturday’s 1-0 loss to Scunthorpe may have dented Burton’s hopes of achieving automatic promotion but Gary Rowett will be keen to see his side kick on and three points against a woeful Wycombe could well be in order.

The Chairboys have picked up just one point from their last four League Two fixtures and sit just three points outside the bottom two places ahead of this encounter. Burton have already beaten Wanderers at Adams Park earlier this season and look good value for a home win.

Fleetwood Town to beat Bristol Rovers @ 10/11

Fleetwood may have been trounced 3-0 on the road against Exeter last time out but Graham Alexander’s team should get back to winning ways at the Highbury Stadium where they will face a Bristol Rovers team that rarely travels well.

The Gas are winless in 10 on the road in League Two and are going up against a Cod Army side that has not only lost just one of their last four at home but has already beaten Rovers 3-1 on their own turf last October.

Hartlepool to beat Mansfield @ 10/11

If Hartlepool are to achieve a play-off place, that looked unlikely for large parts of the season, home form will play a crucial part. The Monkey Hangers are a force to be reckoned with at Victoria Park having won four and drawn one of their last five there, keeping clean sheets on each occasion.

The visit of Mansfield should pose few problems, with the visitors currently on a run of five games away from home in League Two, while travelling supporters will no doubt recall with dread the 4-1 home defeat they suffered at the hands of Hartlepool back at the start of the season.

Rochdale to beat Portsmouth @ 8/13

Top of the table after a comfortable 2-0 away win over Wycombe, the visit of another struggling side in the shape of Portsmouth provides Rochdale with the opportunity to further enhance their promotion prospects and extend their current winning run in League Two to four games.

Portsmouth, meanwhile, after facing up to the very real prospect of falling out of the Football League, with Pompey currently winless in five and in danger of slipping to a third straight loss in the division.

York City to beat Torquay @ 4/6

The form side of League Two face off against a Torquay outfit currently occupying the basement position in the standings with only one outcome likely. York have won five on the bounce in the division as part of a run that has seen them pick up 23 points from the last 27 available.

Saturday’s win saw the hosts move to with a point the play-offs and Nigel Worthington’s will want to continue that push with a win over a Torquay team that has lost four of their last five away from home.
