Sevilla and Napoli need wins in Europa League accumulator

| 20.03.2014

The Europa League action continues this Thursday with the quarter-final line-up for this year’s competition set to be finalised and wins for the likes of Napoli and Valencia predicted.

That one-time Champions League pair have been picked alongside Benfica, Salzburg and Sevilla in a five-fold accumulator available at odds of just over 13/1 with Ladbrokes which equates to a return of £141 for anyone betting £10.

Best of all, as an extra special treat this bet is eligible for the bookmakers’ One Out? Our Shout! promotion whereby should one of the five fail to win then the punter in question will be eligible for a refund of their original stake*.

Benfica to beat Tottenham @ 4/6

The Portuguese handed out a 3-1 spanking to Spurs at White Hart Lane which flattered the north London club. It should be the same story at the Stadium of Light, with Tottenham chasing goals and Benfica likely to hit them on the break to devastating effect.

Jorge Jesus’ team have won 10 games in a row going into this encounter and are unbeaten in 25, having picked up just two draws along the way. Spurs, meanwhile, are on a run of three defeats.

Valencia to beat Ludogorets @ 4/11

The Bulgarian’s spirit was broken in devastating fashion in the first leg with Valencia romping to a 3-0 victory that all but secured their safe passage to the quarter finals.

Los Che will not leave anything to chance though and, with the Mestalla faithful behind them, should be backed to finish the job at home having gone seven games unbeaten at the ground going into this encounter.

Napoli to beat Porto @ 20/21

Porto hold a slender 1-0 advantage going into this return fixture but Napoli manager Rafa Benitez will be keen to continue his side’s run in this competition and secure back-to-back success in the Europa League, having won the tournament with Chelsea last term.

The Naples club are a force to be reckoned with at the Stadio San Paolo, winning nine and drawing two of their last 11 competitive games at the ground and claiming maximum points on home soil in the Champions League group stage earlier this season.

Sevilla to beat Real Betis @ 6/5

Unai Emery must still be scratching his head wondering how his Sevilla team managed to lose 2-0 to cross-town rivals Real Betis in the first leg, despite dominating both in terms of possession and chances created at the Estadio Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán.

Sevilla did bounce back in the following fixture though – a 4-1 hammering of Real Valladolid – and with Betis stumbling to a poor 0-0 draw with fellow strugglers Elche at the weekend, the away side should still be backed to win on the night, even if they ultimately fail to progress.

Salzburg to beat Basel @ 4/9

Arguably the most evenly poised of all the night’s encounters, Salzburg should have enough to shade this one, after picking up a potentially priceless 0-0 draw in the first leg in Switzerland.

The Austrians are currently on a 14-game win streak at the Red Bull Arena, with that run including a famous 3-1 success in the last round against Eredivisie champions Ajax.

That victory made it five out of five at home in the Europa League this term and with Basel winning just one of their last four competitive games, this could make it a perfect six.
