Arsenal’s Giroud boosted to break deadlock against West Ham

Published:

We’ve already tipped Olivier Giroud to fire in a double in our three best bets of Arsenal’s vital Premier League clash at home to West Ham and now the Gunners top scorer has been boosted to score first as well.

The generous folk at Ladbrokes have extended Giroud’s price to find the net before anyone else from 7/2, out to 4/1.

There is no one better placed in the Arsenal ranks to nudge them in front than their top scorer either, with 19 goals to his name in all competitions so far this season.

While others on Arsene Wenger’s team sheet may be carrying slightly heavy legs from their extra-time FA Cup exertions, having not been introduced until the last 20 minutes of the 90, Giroud will be fresh as a daisy comparatively.

What’s more, the Frenchman’s recent flurry of goals – which tallies up as five from his last 10 Arsenal appearances – have all arrived inside the Emirates Stadium.

Giroud has been Mr Reliable for Arsenal this season and appears to score in clusters for the Champions League-chasing club.

He’ll be searching for a fourth Premier League goal in as many home games in the competition when he lines up against the Hammers.

Of course it’s a huge game for both clubs as the visitors are not technically safe as yet, though the onus is firmly on Wenger’s men to place the pressure back on Everton by leapfrogging the Toffees in fourth with a win.

According the match odds, Arsenal are still the heavy favourites to do just that at 2/5, while the draw is 19/5 and the away win is a 7/1 shot.
