Lucy Beale,Tina McIntyre and the top 4 soap murders

Published:

UK telly addicts love nothing better than a stone cold whodunnit in soap land and with not one but two currently on the go there’s plenty of drama to be had.

Eastenders and Corrie fans across the country are debating who killed Lucy Beale and Tina McIntyre, with Les Coker and Rob Donovan the favourites at 7/4 and 1/3 respectively.

But here at Ladbrokes News HQ we’re wondering how their demise stacks up against some of the best murders from the small screen.

Let us know if you agree with the list!

Various by Richard Hillman – Coronation Street

Hillman racked up a decent body count for a soap star after leaving his unwanted business partner for dead and developing a taste for blood.

His ex-wife became his second victim via a well-aimed shovel to the face and while Audrey Roberts and Emily Bishop were lucky to escape with their lives, Maxine Peacock was added to his kill list, being offed with a crow bar after rumbling his failed attempt to kill Emily.

Barry Evans – Eastenders

Shaun ‘Barry off Eastenders’ Williamson is now a budding crooner but before he was busting out Mustang Sally at the top of his lungs he was professing his love for Janine Butcher in this now legendary Eastenders scene!

Trevor Jordache – Brookside

Scouse hit Brookie is no longer on the air and the acting in the below clip perhaps shows why?

Bully and abusive father Trevor was steadily poisoned over a period of weeks but when he rumbled his wife and daughter’s plan he was stabbed in the back by Mandy and buried under the patio in a storyline that had the country talking for weeks.

Natasha Andersen – Hollyoaks

Long before the days of scantily clad calendars Hollyoaks was cutting its teeth as an edgy soap for a younger audience and its first death put it on the map.

Posh college student Natasha was persuaded to an 18th birthday party where her drink was spiked by Ron Hawthorne in the hope that she would lose her inhibitions.

She lost more than that though, collapsing on the dance floor and later dying in hospital in an episode that drew Hollyoaks’ then highest viewing figures of 2.1 million.
