Is Ed Miliband toast?

| 19.06.2014

Probably not. Ladbrokes quote 5/1 that Ed is replaced as Labour leader before the next election:

Despite his poor personal poll ratings, Labour are still ahead in most voting intention surveys. Although a lot of experts are forecasting that the Tories will overtake Labour between now and the general election, by then it will be too late to replace him without it looking like total panic.

The other main issue is that is quite hard to identify anyone who is available to take over who would make much of a difference. Here are Ladbrokes’ odds on next Labour leader.

Ladbrokes’ worst results at the moment would be;

  • 16/1 Tristram Hunt
  • 7/1 Chuka Umunna
  • 12/1 Andy Burnham
