World Cup Boost: France and Germany on for 90 minute wins

After a weekend of stunning goals, late drama and two rounds of penalty kicks, we are predicting a more sedate affair this Monday and you could cash-in with a specially enhanced double from Ladbrokes.

Both France and Germany head into their respective second round encounters as strong favourites for victory and as an extra special treat, the bookmakers has boosted the price on the dynamic duo winning from 10/11 to 11/10.

Les Bleus face Nigeria in the early 5pm kick-off looking to maintain their record of never exiting a World Cup at the second round stage.

In Karim Benzema they have a striker in red-hot form with three goals from three games for France.

Didier Deschamps team have certainly impressed in front of the net so far with an impressive eight racked up over their three group fixtures and there is every reason to be confident of victory over a Nigeria team still smarting from conceding three goals against Argentina.

The Super Eagles have endured a topsy-turvy World Cup so far, drawing 0-0 with Iran and picking up a fortunate 1-0 victory over Bosnia-Herzegovina that helped them squeeze through to the knock-out stage.

That was the first win Nigeria have picked up at a World Cup since their 1998 group stage victory over Bulgaria and they look unlikely to add to it against France.

Germany, meanwhile, meet an Algeria team out for revenge after the infamous Shame of Gijon in 1982 when Die Mannschaft played out a result against Austria that saw the pair qualify in place of the North Africans.

They could struggle to contain Thomas Muller though, with the Bayern Munich man already scoring four goals at this World Cup, while Miroslav Klose is out to set a new scoring record in the competition.

Algeria conceded in each of their three group games and could struggle against a Germany side that has already racked up eight goals in what was a tricky qualifying group.

With a quarter-final meeting on the cards, both France and Germany will be out to send a message to their European rivals – make sure you take full advantage with Ladbrokes.
