NFL: Ride the Houston Texans tornado into a third Sunday

Published:

The NFL season is beginning to warm up very nicely as we go into 2014/15’s third Sunday of Gridiron action, with the big guns already starting to rise to the top.

After bringing home the headline act last weekend, alongside a couple of near misses, we’ve poked our heads above the parapet once more and cobbled together an acca priced over 33/1, with no prizes for guessing who’s first up:

Houston Texans -2 to beat New York Giants @ 10/11

Our prime pick to best the Oakland Raiders by at least four points last Sunday ended up doing so by no less than 16 in California.

Against a Giants outfit that’s 0-2 so far this term, having lost at Detroit and when hosting Arizona, sticking by Ryan Fitzpatrick and co to edge this MetLife Stadium fixture ranks a no-brainer.

New England Patriots -14 to beat Oakland Raiders @ 10/11

The Massachusetts-based big hitters becalmed the frustration that surely lingered after an opening-weekend 33-20 loss to the Dolphins in Miami by burying the Minnesota Vikings 30-7 in their own backyard.

In their first Gillette Stadium fixture of the new campaign, against a Raiders side smarting from successive defeats, expect legendary quarter-back Tom Brady to inspire a similar scoreline.

New Orleans Saints to beat Minnesota Vikings by 1-6 points @ 4/1

After getting within a Saints score of landing 7/2 odds on the Louisiana franchise besting the Cleveland Browns by 1-6 points, we’ve gone back to the well in search of even more juicy profits here.

Off-season fancies New Orleans will surely claim their first win of the campaign at home to the Vikings, but with the hosts’ pair of losses so far coming by a combined deficit of five points, brace yourselves for another close encounter.

Kansas City Chiefs +3.5 to beat Miami Dolphins @ 20/21

Miami aren’t a team to be taken on trust after whooping the Patriots by 13 points first time out, before being beaten by the Buffalo Bills courtesy of an even greater margin.

Kansas City are 0-2 after the first two Sundays, but they showed clear signs of improvement when going down just 24-17 to the Denver Broncos on the road last time out, and are tipped to keep in touch in Florida.
