Capital One Cup accumulator: Liverpool and Chelsea chosen

| 28.10.2014

There’s a topsy-turvy feel to the first of this week’s League Cup accumulator, with two Premier League favourites picked alongside two outsiders to deliver a fourfold paying out at odds of just under 17/1 with Ladbrokes.

Featuring home wins for Liverpool and Chelsea alongside potential upset victories for Bournemouth and Sheffield United, read on to find out how you can add a little extra spice to an otherwise ordinary Tuesday night of Capital One Cup football.

Bournemouth to beat West Brom @ 8/5

The Cherries are on the charge in the Championship at present, with Saturday’s 8-0 win away at Birmingham making it four straight wins for Bournemouth in the league, as part of a run that has seen them win seven of their last eight. A Baggies team that is winless in three could struggle.

Liverpool to beat Swansea @ 8/11

Brendan Rodgers’ side may have drawn a blank at home to Hull last time out, but after seeing off the Swans in their previous two meetings at Anfield, we are confident the Reds can make it a hat-trick of home wins over the Welsh side, who have gone three without a win away from the Liberty.

Chelsea to beat Shrewsbury @ 1/4

The icing on our accumulator cake, Shrewsbury may be on four-game winning streak going into this encounter but after smashing Maribor 6-0 last week, the Blues should have more than enough firepower to progress, though we don’t expect another high-scoring affair.

Sheffield United to beat MK Dons @ 11/5

The Milton Keynes monsters may have already seen off Manchester United in this competition but on current form it’s the Blades who are worth backing following a run of three straight wins and three clean sheets.

Sheffield United won on their last visit to Stadium mk and with the hosts winning just one of their last four, it’s looking like being a good day for the Yorkshire side.
