Championship Accumulator: Derby and Watford tipped

Published:

As ever the Champions League is set to dominate the midweek football schedule but there is plenty of top notch action taking place on the domestic front tonight.

A full quota of Championship matches takes place and while the second tier has lived up to its billing as being one of the hardest leagues to predict so far this term Ladbrokes News thinks it has a solid fourfold up its sleeve.

Read on to see why James Curtis is backing Watford, Derby, Bournemouth and Blackburn to deliver the goods at 11/1.

And for those seeking even bigger gains, adding Charlton to beat Bolton at 13/10 will boost the accumulator odds to a whopping 27/1 while also ensuring your bet is eligible for our money back offer, should just one of the five teams picked to win let you down.

Watford to beat Nottingham Forest @ 5/4

Forest’s unbeaten record was taken by Cardiff at the weekend and for all the hype their record now stands at a concerning five games without a win.

Conversely, the Hornets are unbeaten in six games and have lost just one of their last 16 Championship fixtures at Vicarage Road.

With Forest winning just one of the last five meetings between the two this tie looks likely to go only one way.

Derby to beat Blackpool @ 8/11

They may be odds-on but the Rams are a great price for victory over the Tangerines when the stats are considered.

Pool have won just one of their last five outings and one of six meetings with Derby. The Rams, on the other hand, won the other five of those meetings and have lost just one of their last 17 assignments.

Bournemouth to beat Reading @ 4/5

While Cardiff ended Forest’s unbeaten run at the weekend the Cherries inflicted the same punishment on Charlton to make it three wins from four in the league.

The Dean Court residents have now lost just one of their last six in all competitions and will fancy their chances against a Reading side with no wins from six matches, especially after doing the double over the Royals last year.

Blackburn to beat Birmingham @ 3/4

Rovers may be winless in four in the league but they have still lost just one of the last 12 games at Ewood Park.

Birmingham, meanwhile, have taken maximum points just once in nine attempts on the road and after going down 4-2 last time the sides met look set for disappointment once again.
