Krasnodar v Everton: Toffees set to struggle with stars at home

Published:

It’s the trip Everton fans have been dreaming of since they rejoined Europe’s elite (not quite but close enough!) with Roberto Martinez’s squad making the 4,800-mile round slog to Russia to face FC Krasnador.

The Toffees are 21/10 with Ladbrokes for victory, while the home side are the 13/8 favourites for three points which would see them head to the top of Group H.

The draw is available at 23/10 but with that not tempting us here at Ladbrokes News, Oliver Yew has come up with three of his best bets for the Europa League action in Russia.

Krasnodoar to win @ 13/8

With a weekend off in the Russian league, Krasnodar, who dispatched of Real Sociedad in the qualifying rounds, will be fully focussed on proceedings  at Stadion Kuban as they bid to go top of the group.

With a trip to Old Trafford lying in wait on Sunday, Everton, by contrast, have one eye on Manchester United and have left a host of stars back in Merseyside.

So now’s the time to back the Toffees to come unstuck against a side who are on a run of three straight wins at home in the Europa League.

Krasnodar to win to nil @ 14/5

As already mentioned, Aleh Konanaw’s side have picked up three European wins at home so far this season and have not conceded a goal.

Their most impressive win came in the 3-0 shutout of La Liga side Real Sociedad and with another eight goals, without response, coming against Diósgyőr and Sillamäe Kalev the Bulls are in excellent form in front of their home fans.

Back this trend to continue with the Russian side winning to nil.

Aiden McGeady to score anytime @ 7/2

While we are backing Krasnodar to keep a clean sheet in victory it may well be worthwhile keeping an eye on the team news from Russia.

If the likes of Romelu Lukaku, Samuel Eto’o and Aiden McGeady line up for the Blues then it could be a totally different story at the Stadion Kuban.

And it could be McGeady, who will be desperate to perform well back in Russia after a stint with Spartak Moscow, who is the one to score for the Merseysiders after finding the net three times already for club and country already this season.
