An in-form striker is often the difference between a promotion push and a relegation battle when it comes to England’s second tier.
And this year is proving no different with Bournemouth, Watford and Derby County all at the top end of the table thanks to some impressive scoring stats from their front men.
And, even though they seem to be scoring for fun, there’s still money to be made by backing Callum Wilson, Matej Vydra and Chris Martin to add to their totals in their midweek outings.

Wilson was expected to grow into his role at Dean Court after replacing the prolific Lewis Grabban in the summer.
However, many have been surprised at the youngster’s progression, with the Cherries man so far eclipsing the efforts of the now-Norwich striker.
Wilson has already smashed 11 goals in 18 outings this term, with six of those strikes coming in the last seven games.
More than half of his goals this season have come away from home so expect the net to bulge at Hillsborough tonight.
Vydra is relishing life back at Vicarage Road, hitting seven goals in 15 games since his return.
With three of those strikes coming in the last four games he’s a tempting pick, but playing against Birmingham, who have won one in 25 at home and shipped eight to Bournemouth recently, this looks like a banker for the Czech international.
Martin is the smallest price as he’s the Championship’s top scorer so far with 10. The Scotland international has 12 strikes in just 19 appearances for the Rams this season and shows no sign of letting up.
On a run of five goals in as many games the 26-year-old will have the Terriers quaking in their boots in front of their own fans.
