Djokovic to last distance with Cilic in ATP Finals best bets

In something of a different take on tournament scheduling, the second day of the ATP World Tour Finals at the O2 sees the Group A’s participants take to the court for the first time.

Following Andy Murray and Roger Federer’s debuts in London to open proceedings it’s finally the turn of number one seed, Novak Djokovic, to get in on the action.

Here are the best bets for the day:

Stanislas Wawrinka to beat Tomas Berdych @ 11/10

Although the number four seed has been warming up for this hard-court tournament by playing on clay, he has enough history with Berdych to topple him in his first London outing.

Wawrinka has bested the Czech in seven of their last three meetings, the last three of which have been on hard courts.

There hasn’t been a straight sets result between these two in the last six, but the Swiss’ price to continue his dominance is too good to refuse

Exactly three sets in Novak Djokovic v Marin Cilic @ 11/4

10 times these two have met during their careers and on all 10 occasions it’s been Djokovic who has prevailed, hence his heavy 1/8 odds.

While Cilic hasn’t been able to string a whole game of solid hitting together against the formidable serve, he has managed it for a set or two of late.

In all of the last three matches against Djokovic, Cilic has managed to take at least one set off him. While he may not be able to beat the top seed, you can certainly back him to make it tough on him.
