X Factor: Lauren Platt is leaving and even Louis knows it

Published:

The bookies know it, we know it, Louis Walsh knows it and now you do too. Lauren Platt will be leaving the X Factor this weekend.

While we might not agree with that decision, it’s become pretty crystal clear that the 17-year-old is going to have to face up to the reality that she won’t be making this year’s final.

Placed in the bottom two last weekend, Lauren is going to have to put in an almighty effort during the upcoming festive extravaganza to avoid the axe.

And according to Irish judge Louis Walsh, the Essex teenager’s exit is already a foregone conclusion.

Speaking at the Cosmo Ultimate Women Awards, the 62-year-old talent manager was quoted as saying that fellow judge Cheryl Fernandez-Versini will “absolutely” lose her last remaining act this weekend.
Convinced?

Let’s take a look at the final four ahead of the penultimate X Factor 2014 show.

Lauren Platt – 5/6 to be eliminated

Odds-on to miss out on a place in the final, it’s looking ominous for our Lauren.

Even some silky smooth vocals during the impending Festive Week/Songs to reach the final mash-up will probably not be enough to save an act who’s been under increasing pressure in recent weeks.

Andrea Faustini – 13/8

Some of you may argue that Andrea has been royally done over this year.

Is he the best singer in the competition?

Probably. But it’s become obvious that he’s not being groomed for the type of pop stardom that producers feel Ben can achieve.

As such, there may be a bit of value in backing the 21-year-old Italian to go this week but we’d only recommend a small wager.

Fleur East – 6/1

Popular opinion dictates that Fleur and Ben are destined to finish in the top two, an outcome priced at 5/4 with Ladbrokes.

Easy money?

There’s certainly little point in backing the London singer to be given the boot with Fleur’s rise to the top one of the high points of series 11.

Ben Haenow – 14/1

The ‘people’s champion’, at least according to bookmakers, is under zero threat of elimination heading into the semi-final.

If you’re feeling confident about Ben’s chances of winning then lump on the 11/8 currently available for the 29-year-old to be crowned this year’s X Factor king.
