Kamara: Man City have shown they’re more than just a one man team

The knee injury recently sustained by Manchester City hitman Sergio Aguero has had fans and pundits alike wondering whether Manuel Pellegrini’s side can cope without their star man.
But in the Argentine’s absence the Sky Blues have maintained their momentum and it’s come as little surprise to Ladbrokes ambassador, Chris Kamara.
City closed the gap in the Premier League title race to just three points without Aguero’s help last weekend.
And the current champions have also secured their passage to the Champions League last-16, with goals from Samir Nasri and Pablo Zabaleta proving to be the difference in their 2-0 win over Roma in midweek.
Kammy told Ladbrokes News: “It’s amazing really. They lost Sergio Aguero to injury and all of a sudden it was looking a bit scary for Man City. Aguero is probably the player of the season so far yet his side have gone to Roma and produced one of their best performances of the season without him.
“They’re now through to the Champions League last-16 and no side will want to face them.
“City have always been more than just a one-man team. Let’s be honest, all of the players City can bring in are top class and those who’ve had to fill the void left by Aguero’s absence have all stepped up to the plate and done the business.”
But before the Citizens can start plotting Champions League glory they must first travel to face bottom-club Leicester for an upcoming fixture where they’re 1/2 to bag another precious victory.
Given that they’re unbeaten in all of their previous eight games against the Foxes it’s unlikely that a trip to the King Power Stadium will represent City’s toughest assignment this season.
Even without their Argentine talisman Pellegrini’s outfit have shown they’re more than a match for anyone lately with the 11/2 for the hosts to triumph a fair reflection of the tall order that awaits them.
